GOT A QUESTION?
Whether you're visiting for the first time or you're a regular golfer, we've answered some of our most frequently asked questions to help you get started.
GOLF COURSE
Can I walk in without booking?
You can walk in, but you risk not being able to play — booking online is the best way to guarantee a slot for the course, the driving range you don’t need to book for.
Do you hire golf clubs?
Yes we offer hire clubs for all ages, under 16 hire is free, adult hire is £2 for an iron £3 wood/driver.
Is the course suitable for beginners?
The shorter layout makes it less intimidating than a full 18-hole course.
There’s an on-site driving range, ideal for practising before heading onto the course.
It’s designed to be enjoyable for both new and experienced players.
Busy times can still feel fast-paced if completely new.
How many people can play in one group?
A maximum of four players are allowed per tee time.
Do I need my own golf clubs and golf bag?
Yes. All players must have their own golf clubs and golf bag when playing the course.
How many holes is the course?
Millers Barn Golf Park is a 9-hole parkland golf course. Players can also enjoy a second round to play 18 holes.
DRIVING RANGE
Are any of you bays undercover?
Yes, we have 10 bays undercover, of which 4 have heaters, and all of them are flood lit.
Do i need to book for the driving range?
No, we don't take bookings, just walk in and grab a bay. It can get busier in the evenings after work.
Do you have power tees?
Yes, all our inside bays are fitted with power tees and we have one left handed power tee as well
Is there a dress code for the driving range?
No, there is no dress code, we just ask for sensible footwear to be worn.
What are power tees?
A Power Tee is an automatic ball teeing system that dispenses golf balls and allows you to adjust the tee height for different shots. Instead of bending down to place each ball on a tee, the system automatically presents the ball at your chosen height using simple controls. You can select different tee lengths depending on the club or shot you’re practicing, or choose to hit balls directly from the mat without using a tee.
Can anyone use the driving range at Millers Barn Golf Park?
Yes! Our driving range is open to everyone, whether you are a complete beginner, an experienced golfer or simply looking to have a bit of fun and practise your swing.
You do not need to be a member to use the driving range, and no booking is required. Simply turn up, purchase your range balls and enjoy your practice session.
We also offer club hire for adults, and club hire is free for juniors.
